Lecture Titles and Summaries:
Vital Pulp Therapy : Clinical Decision Making for Optimal Outcomes
Vital Pulp Therapy constitutes one of the most viable treatment options in pulpally involved teeth. The prognosis of this therapy is dictated by proper case selection and in following appropriate clinical protocols. This evidence-based presentation would provide a clinician with a step wise protocol of managing cariously involved mature permanent teeth with pulpitis. An overview of various restorative bio-materials and their clinical usage would also be discussed.
Root Canal Disinfection : Current Concepts and Clinical Recommendations
Endodontics today is revolutionized with the advent of newer technologies and bio-materials. The plethora of choices makes it difficult for a clinician to choose the right disinfection protocols. A clinician needs to understand that we cannot have a single protocol that suits all cases and optimizing shaping & disinfection protocols should be based on the root canal anatomy and infections status of the pulp space. This evidence-based presentation would provide a clinical work flow that would improve both efficiency and outcomes of routine endodontic therapy.

Lecture Title: “Dilemmas at the restorative / endodontic interface: the clinical and communication tools for a wholistic outcome”.
Summary: “Extraction or extirpation? TMD or tooth pain? Restore the cracked tooth or RCT first? We are frequently confronted with these clinical conundrums. As we wrestle to arrive at the correct diagnosis and treatment, the patient in pain can become secondary. This presentation looks at 3 common diagnostic challenges, the clinical skills for a good outcome and the communication tools to help your patient navigate through a difficult time of discomfort and uncertainty.”
